'chalkidiki sunset' - Attribution: The county of Halkidiki belongs to the department of Central Macedonia and occupies the area of the 3-leg peninsula from the Lagada and Volvi lakes until the Aegean Sea. Being part of continental Greece with many beaches, it is perfect for summer vacation. Free camping is strictly forbidden, the police is keeping a persistent eye at every possible camping-friendly spot, but there are many organized camping areas, mainly at Cassandra and Sithonia.
